Several GEO BON members participated in the IPBES 2nd Meeting of the Task Force on Knowledge and Data in Bonn, April 2015. This meeting was embedded in a joint IPBES Task Force meeting and was aimed to review draft documents on Data, Information and Knowledge which will guide the regional and global IPBES assessments. About 40 people from all over the world joined the meeting and after many hours brought together some documents how to define and use data, information and knowledge in IPBES. IPBES is fast going ahead and we hope that the documents worked out will lead to a perfect scientific documentation of data, knowledge and information used by the assessments. Also access to journals as well as metadata criteria and some other topics were discussed.
