Graphs to visualize data in ecology: the pilot cases IndexMEED are launched!

In May, the IndexMEED consortium organized its first “Data Curation” workshops, aimed at preparing the datasets of voluntary participants for the construction of graphs. Organized at the CESAB (Aix-en-Provence) and the ISCC (Paris), the focus was on data formatting based on categories of values and descriptors respecting simple but essential rules for the correct visualization of the data. The participants, supervised by experts of this field, have worked on their own datasets. Overall, ten pilot cases are being developed within the framework of the consortium. The next step will be marked by the workshops “Visualization of data in the form of graphs”. The results will be presented at the national restitution seminar which will take place from 15 to 17 November 2017 in Paris.

Assessment of the state of biodiversity: national seminar on December 12th and 13th 2017

The scientific seminar will be held on December 12th and 13th 2017 in Paris. The theme this year will be “Assessing the state of biodiversity” with a link to the associated ecosystem services. It will cross the objectives, the conceptual frameworks mobilized for observation, the organization and the use of biodiversity research data by the various actors who produce and use data.
