Global Wetland Watch is a collaboration between DHI, the UNEP-DHI Centre, and UNEP that brings together satellite imagery and artificial intelligence to provide a consistent global picture of wetlands and how they change over time. It is funded by Google.org and powered by Google Earth Engine.
By making advanced Earth observation analytics open to all, Global Wetland Watch enables governments, NGOs, researchers, Indigenous Peoples, and local communities to engage with wetland data regardless of location or technical capacity, creating space to apply technological innovation alongside local knowledge and cultural perspectives on wetlands, and helping to create stronger, more resilient communities in the face of the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
This webinar will provide the status of the technical development and of the Global Wetland Watch partnership status.
